L. Michael Maddox is a Jacksonville native who understands the local community and gives back to it by assisting residents through his extensive knowledge of the law. After practicing law for over 7 years as an insurance defense attorney at Boyd & Jenerette, PA and as claims litigation council for State Farm Insurance, he opened his private practice in 1998. Since then, Mr. Maddox has used his experience as a trial lawyer for insurance companies as he represents clients in litigation involving personal injury, wrongful death and insurance claims against insurance companies, as well as acting as both plaintiff and defense counsel for his multiple business clients. Mr. Maddox also has an extensive guardianship and probate practice. He believes that the lawyer client relationship extends beyond the individual case and strives to build lasting relationships with each client whether an individual or a business.
In addition to his practice, he has served as an expert speaker about Personal Injury Settlements in Florida and has taught law as a visiting professor at The American Institute of Paralegal Studies during its association with Jacksonville University. He also is a volunteer for Floridas Justice Teaching program.
